Director’s message

I worked as an ER doctor in Iwaki-city, Fukushima, and lived through the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. After then, I moved back to my hometown of Toyama.

I realized, however, that I really want to see the patients not only in an emergency situation but also function as a primary care physician who provides first-care contact, prevention and care of chronic disease. In order to do that, I joined the General Medicine Department of the University of Toyama and started training by working there, and finally, I opened this Itsuki Internal Medicine Clinic from April 20, 2021.

In general, people are not familiar with the term “Family Physician” or “Primary Care Physician” in Japan. Instead of those terms, we say, “Naika” which means “Internal Medicine”. To the Japanese “Naika” has almost the same meaning as “Family Physician” or “Primary Care Physician”.

One of the meanings of “Itsuki” is a great big tree like a warm and confortable place for many animals or people. Our motto is “ Your Health is Our Concern” and we aim for this clinic to be like the great big tree to protect your health and heal your problems.
Feel free to access and it’ll be our pleasure if you feel better after visiting our clinic.
